Three new Trustees have been confirmed to replace the two Trustees Nuk Korako and Claudia Reid whose positions expire at the end of June, and also the Chair, Garry Moore, who is stepping down to pursue other interests.
Chrissie Williams, Cynthia Roberts and Debbie Tikao were selected from a very high caliber list of people expressing interest in the role. The new Trustees bring with them a diversity of experience that will help further the aims of the RDBPT. Chrissie Williams has a history of working with local body, iwi and conservation and outdoor groups; Dr Cynthia Roberts has a background in ecology, conservation restoration and ecotourism; and Debbie Tikao is a landscape architect with a particular focus on cultural landscape values and strong links to Banks Peninsula rūnanga.
Having been recommended by the Trust the appointments were made by the Christchurch City Council and will take effect from July 1.
The Trust thanks everyone who registered their interest in the positions and extends a warm welcome aboard to Chrissie, Cynthia and Debbie.
