Year round access to Te Ahu Pātiki Park via Orton Bradley Park’s Valley Track

The Rod Donald Trust has just completed a project to re-route the Valley Track (part of Mt Herbert Walkway) through Orton Bradley Park into the riparian area so that the track can now be open all year round.

Graded Earth’ Track builder Matt Coultas has been hard at work on this project over the winter, which now allows for year-round access within the Te Ahu Pātiki Conservation Park, and links with access from Kaituna, the Packhorse and the Mt Herbert Summit.

All of the track work within the Park was completed to a very high standard providing for good all-year round access for management vehicles, mountain bikers and walkers, with well-designed shared-use tracks provide good visibility for all users.
