Track closures after extreme weather event

Due to the recent extreme weather many parts of the track network on Banks Peninsula have received extensive damage and are CLOSED. This includes all tracks on Te Ahu Pātiki (Harakeke Track, Mataī Track, Kōnini Track, Kārā Track) and Living Springs. Also Pony Point, Faulkner, Monument South, Woodills North and Okuti Tracks.

Summit Road Society: Ōhinetahi Reserve remains closed, and the affected tracks in Omahu Bush (Lower Rhodes Track, Waterfall Track, Nelson Track and Kirks Track) are still closed while safety assessments and planning continue. Linda Woods Reserve remains open.

We are still unsure of the status of many tracks so please PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION if you are out walking or biking on the Peninsula.
