Repairs to Faulkner Track (western side Mt Bradley) are complete and now available for use by walkers and runners. Our Trust manages the section of track on private land and Te Ahu Pātiki Charitable Trust manages the section on their land. Please note it is NOT available for biking.
The track was closed after the 17 February 2026 storm due to large and minor slips, after the area received at least six times its monthly rainfall in 48hrs.
Thank you for your patience. You may wonder why it took a while to re-open. We decided to get the slips checked by a geotechnical advisor, and contractors were in hot demand as many groups and farms had tracks to repair. The repairs were funded by our Trust. You will see there are now new rockfall hazard signs in place.
The rest of the track through Te Ahu Pātiki and onto the Valley Track in Orton Bradley Park are also open.
