Banks Peninsula Walking Festival returns later this month!
The much-loved Banks Peninsula Walking Festival is back from 28 February to 15 March 2026, offering three weekends of guided walks across Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū / Banks Peninsula.
The programme celebrates the Peninsula’s extraordinary landscapes, rich history and ongoing restoration work. From relaxed coastal strolls and family-friendly experiences to a biking adventure and all-day tramps and a special overnight journey to Rod Donald Hut, there is something for every level of walker.
With many events capped at small numbers, the festival offers a rare opportunity to explore private land, covenant areas and lesser-known tracks alongside knowledgeable local guides.
