Banks Peninsula Walking Festival Guides Appreciation Dinner

The Guides appreciation dinner was a great way to wrap up this year’s Festival, with Orton Bradley Parks ‘Base Camp’ the perfect venue for getting everyone together.

This is always a good chance for guides, tail end Charlies and our supporters to come together and have a bit of a debrief at the end of the event.

Peter Coldicott shared about his day guiding and exploring Governors Bay, with special visits to the beautiful Waitahuna property, home of the first European house in the Bay, as well as the nationally acclaimed Ōhinetahi Gardens.

Many thanks to Sandy from the Orton Bradley Park Cafe for the great job she did catering for our event. It’s great to know the café is now open in the weekends over the summer so make sure you take the time to enjoy some of her tasty treats and enjoy the lovely, tranquil café setting!
