Volunteer Day at the Rod Donald Hut

It was a great day today as Banks Peninsula Conservation Trust’s volunteers assisted with removing plant guards and weeds on the whenua surrounding the Rod Donald Hut. A hugh shout out to Sophie Hartnell, BPCT volunteer coordinator, along with David Brailsford our Hut Manager for organising and guiding. It was a bit of a cold wind today but Shelley Washington’s cheese scones, a warm hut and the satisfaction of a job well done kept everyone smiling. The volunteers also learnt of the new nature trail David is creating for tamariki.
