Spot the Tops photo competition winners

Thank you to all photographers who submitted entries to our Spot the Tops photo competition. We received over 70 entries – all striking and wonderful images showing the many moods and weather conditions that Te Ahu Pātiki experiences – making our judging job a tough one. Thank you to The Press and Stuff for publishing the winning images as part of the Buy the Hill campaign.

Our winning entries capture some of these different moods. We are delighted to announce:

First Prize to Sam Barrow for capturing the moment above when our two stunning maunga Mt Herbert/Te Ahu Pātiki and Mt Bradley are illuminated by rainbows.

Second Prize to Annette Woodford for capturing trampers enjoying the stunning views from the tops at their best
Third Prize to David Mitchell for showing two determined trampers heading for the tops in the snow – underlining the need to be prepared for all manner of weather conditions on the summits.

That’s a key message we want to put out to everyone who heads to the tops “Plan, Prepare and Equip Youself Well”. Download the Te Ara Pātaka brochure for the information you need before heading up there.
