We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Te Pātaka o Rākaihautū / Banks Peninsula Geopark Trust, enabling development of the first GeoSite along the foreshore between Governors Bay and Allandale creating an interpretation trail. The two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Allandale Reserve before heading out on the Foreshore Track to see some of the interesting sites. Dr. Sam Hampton was congratulated on his perseverance and hard-work in taking the Geopark concept to this point.
