Work has begun on constructing the new family friendly Nature Trail on the Rod Donald Hut property. This 1km trail will meander through the bush area beyond the hut, with features including large tōtara, fuchsia groves, fern clumps, rock features, as well as viewpoints along the way.
Our Hut Manager David Brailsford is undertaking the project, and says that the work is progressing well and the trail is on track to open in February 2025 in conjunction with the Banks Peninsula Walking Festival.
