Our Hut Manager David has done an amazing job once again as he has worked through a variety of tasks for this year’s annual hut maintenance.
We now have a brand-new deck which incorporates an additional seating area, so this will be a great place for groups to congregate and enjoy a relaxing break after tramping into the hut.
There was spouting to fix, taps to inspect and some old wallboards to be replaced. Trust staff enjoyed a day at the hut assisting with a good spring clean and we even had a change to go and explore the new nature trail which is currently under construction.
Many thanks to Jan, Lily and Pearson who also joined us for the day. Pearson, at age two and a half, was the first child to complete to Nature Trail – with a bit of help in the steeper places from his Mum and ‘Pop’ David!
