Amazing old map

The Trust was excited to receive this amazing old map and book entry from YHA Corporate Services Manager Maureen McCloy. YHA was started in New Zealand on Banks Peninsula by energetic Cora Wilding and others, and by 1932 already had a network of 11 hostels that people could walk to, and it is fascinating to see where they were located and how they were linked up.  Te Ara Pātaka then called Summit Track is on the map, but Montgomery Reserve is not yet there, so the route is only through to Pettigrews Road at the top of Pigeon Bay.
