A week before your walk, you will receive an information sheet via Humanitix with details on the meeting point, what to bring, and any other essential info.
???? Important Notes:
✅ Check your spam/junk mail if you don’t see your ticket or information sheet.
✅ Visit www.bpwalks.co.nz on the day of your walk to check for any last-minute changes. Walks proceed in most weather conditions but may be cancelled in severe weather.
✅ Limited spots! Each walk is capped at 20 people, except for family walks. If a walk is sold out, join the waitlist via Humanitix.
⚠️ Choose Walks Carefully – Know Your Limits
Our wonderful volunteer guides are generously giving their time to lead these walks. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please select walks that match your abilities.
???? Read the walk descriptions carefully and do not sign up for a walk that may be beyond your fitness level. If you’re unsure, choose a shorter or easier option.
???? Can’t Make Your Walk? Let Us Know!
If you are unable to attend a walk you have booked, please inform the Banks Peninsula Walking Festival Coordinator as soon as possible. We are running a waitlist through Humanitix, and your spot can go to someone eager to participate.
???? Giving Your Ticket to Someone Else?
If you intend to transfer your ticket to another person, you must contact the Festival Coordinator so that we can update the booking with their contact and emergency details. This ensures all participants receive important walk information and safety updates.
???? Refund & Cancellation Policy:
IMPORTANT Refund policy:
- Walks cancelled by the Festival due to weather-related incidents or factors beyond our control (road closures/slips) are eligible for a 60% refund only.
- Walks cancelled due to guide unavailability are eligible for a full refund (minus the Humanitix credit card fee).
- There will be no rescheduling of cancelled walks.
- Refunds will not be available for participant cancellations.
