A couple of innovative solutions have been put in place by our great track maintenance man David Brailsford as he addressed the issue of cattle damaging the signs and markers on the Monument Track.
Not only do the new signs now have their own protection, but the cattle have been provided with an alternative scratching post in the form of a giant bottle brush!
A lot of new large orange markers have been set in place so this will make the track very visible, even in misty conditions.
